Products & Applications

PRODUCTS / APPLICATIONS

Starting with glass, and extending beyond buildings.

GOOPV responds to architectural needs for daylight, thermal insulation and energy. Building on its research into materials and light, SHAN-CING also develops products for public spaces, landscapes, modular spaces and automotive glazing. Each product is shaped by a different setting and stage of development.

FIVE WAYS WITH LIGHT / 01—05MATERIAL × SPACE × DAILY LIFE

01 / THE BUILT START

GOOPV, already installed in buildings

Through repeated prototyping and testing, GOOPV has moved into real buildings. Every adjustment brings the material closer to practical use.

01 / ARCHITECTURE — GOOPV

GOOPV

Architectural light-effect glass

The goal is to retain natural light while reducing solar heat indoors. From sample fabrication and repeated testing to on-site installation and adjustment, GOOPV brings light transmission, thermal insulation and power generation together in architectural glass. Each project is assessed from its actual site conditions.

GOOPV / A MATERIAL POINT OF VIEW

Reduce energy use first,
then generate energy.

  1. 01Respond to sunlight and heat
  2. 02Retain useful daylight
  3. 03Put the light reaching the glass to work

Test, install and refine. The next step for glass continues on site.

02 / WHAT ELSE CAN LIGHT DO?

Public spaces, landscapes and vehicles

Under a tree, at an entrance, inside a movable space or in a vehicle: begin with what each place needs, then shape the product around it.

02 / PUBLIC SPACE

GOOTREE

More possibilities for time spent beneath a tree.

A smart energy tree for public spaces, bringing together photovoltaics, lighting, energy storage and sensing. Suitable for parks, campuses and rest areas, with configuration confirmed for each project.

03 / LANDSCAPE

GOOFLOWER

Plant a flower in the city’s imagination.

Bringing photovoltaic glass together with petal forms for entrances and landscape focal points: light and shadow by day, with lighting planned for the site at night.

04 / MODULAR SPACE

GOOBOX

A modular enclosure can rethink light and heat.

A modular space exploring how GOOPV glass, daylight, thermal insulation, ventilation and energy systems can work together.

05 / EVERYDAY MOBILITY

GOONA GLASS

Look up. The sky is still there.

Designed for the Model Y panoramic roof, GOONA GLASS preserves the open view overhead while building heat control into the glass. The sky remains visible, with greater comfort under the sun.

03 / FIND YOUR STARTING POINT

Start with the setting,
then find the right product.

You do not need to choose a product first. A building façade, public space, modular enclosure and vehicle each has different needs. Start with how the space will be used.

Building façades

GOOPV Begin with daylight, thermal insulation and façade configuration.

Public spaces

GOOTREE・GOOFLOWER Begin with where people will pause and gather.

Modular spaces

GOOBOX Begin with the intended use and equipment needs.

Mobility

GOONA GLASS Begin with solar exposure and in-cabin comfort.
