01 / DESIGN

A place to sit. More ways to serve.

Bring individual services into one landscape design.

GOOTREE consists of a canopy, central column and surrounding seating. Shade, rest areas, user interfaces and maintenance access can be planned together, coordinating public services with pedestrian circulation.

01

Canopy and Seating

A canopy of semi-transparent photovoltaic glass and seating below provide a place to rest and meet. Shade coverage is assessed for canopy configuration, orientation and solar angle.

02

Integrated User and Information Interfaces

Charging, assistance and information displays are integrated into the central service area, with circulation and operating height considered in the design.

03

Integration with the Site

Column finishes, colours and seating can be discussed to suit the landscape, together with foundations, cable routes and maintenance clearances.

02 / FUNCTIONS

Choose functions around how people use the space.

Everyday Services

  • USB charging and public Wi-Fi support mobile devices while visitors pause.
  • Information and weather displays present announcements, wayfinding and weather alerts.
  • Night lighting is planned around operating hours and site requirements.

Energy Management

  • Generation and storage integrate the canopy’s photovoltaic modules with energy storage.
  • An energy dashboard displays generation, consumption and carbon-reduction information for education and management.
  • Remote equipment monitoring and content updates are planned around site connectivity.

Safety and Backup Power

  • An assistance interface is planned with the site operator’s contact and response procedures.
  • Security monitoring equipment can be configured to suit management requirements.
  • Outage backup is planned around critical loads and required operating hours, including storage and supply switching.

Specifications, configurations and operating conditions are confirmed for each site and project. The illustration does not represent a fixed delivery specification.
